David (DJ) is a native of Bellingham, Washington and plans to graduate in 2014 with a major in Business Management and Marketing.  His junior and senior years of high school he was named Pitcher of the Year.  DJ was also named Honorable Mention-Pitcher his sophomore, junior and senior years.  We are glad DJ is coming all the way from the west coast to pitch for the Power this season!

Why do you want to play baseball in Niagara Falls?:
I love the opportunity to travel, and have never had the chance to go to New York, so being able to play in NY this summer was the perfect opportunity for that. My roommate is also from the east coast and I have heard awesome things about the summers there. Finally, I love the opportunity to play for a team that has the goal of glorifying God at it center.
What do you hope to do after college?
My dream would be to get drafted and be able to continue to play baseball after college. If that does not work out, I would love to go into a management development program with a local company and start working in the business world.
Biggest thing that has surprised you in life after high school?
How much of a time commitment everything is! Between school, baseball, and friends, it is like working several full time jobs!

If you were going to do “mission” work what country and why?
The Dominican Republic; I went there last summer and saw how God is already beginning to move there. The people were so receptive and loving, I want to spend the rest of eternity hanging out with them in Heaven!
Do you have any non-sports related talents?
None!
Morning person or night owl?
I am one of the rare few that is both! I love waking up early, but I can burn the midnight oils like the best!

If you had to go without one thing for a week which would it be: TV, Smart phone/IPod or Car?
Car- I haven’t had once since I came to college! The hardest to go without would be my Phone though!
When did you start playing baseball?
I have been playing since I was two.

My entire senior season of High School.
