Biography:
Derek comes to us from Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma, his home state. He plans to graduate in 2012. In high school he was All-State and Valedictoriana and at Rose State Junior College he was 2nd Team All-Conference and hit .385. We are looking forward to Derek coming, because not only is he a great player but a great man of character.

What do you hope to do after college?: Hmmm.....good question???
Why do you want to play baseball in Niagara Falls?: I want to play in Niagara Falls because it is going to be a stretch being away from here where I have spent my whole life. I have a heart to travel and this will submerge me into that desire.

Who has had the biggest positive influence on your life?: Of course my mom and dad, but God placed a mentor in my life named Buddy Ward.

When did you start playing baseball?: When I was 6 years old
Favorite Baseball Memory: My favorite baseball memory is making a diving play up the middle and turning a 6, 4, 3 double play
Ideal Vacation: Going to Israel and walking where Jesus walked
Ideal/Favorite Pet: My ideal pet would be a dog that was 3/4 wolf and 1/4 husky
If you had to eat only one food for an entire month what would it be?: Home made french fries
Most embarrassing and most proud moment: I try to forget the embarrassing stuff. Proud moment would have to be playing college baseball. |
